Let's hope your Halloween doesn't get off to a scary start Saturday morning, as the Huskers face the Purdue Boilermakers. Perhaps the Blackshirt defense can live up to their skeletal persona and put some fear into the Purdue offense. The Boilermakers trail the Huskers statistically including their record of 1-6, 0-3 in the Big 10. But as we have been seeing all season long, the Huskers have been playing up or down to just short of the day's competition. It likely will be another rainy Saturday in Austin, somewhat like last week, so a good time to join us at our watch sites to cheer on the Huskers. This is an early game, kicking off at 11 am, so it won't interfere with your Halloween celebrations.
Good news from our newly organized second watch location, the Waller Creek Pub House. Those who attended found it to be very much what they were looking for. If you prefer this part of town (just off 6th), go by and check it out. We have room to grow there and appreciate everyone who attends. Alternately join our group at Third Base Northwest. If we get enough attendance, we will have a raffle, plus the board with a chance of winning cash. Our Husker merchandise will be available for sale. AND as always the Third Base Staff will be there to serve you.
