Nebraska takes on Big 10 power house Michigan State Spartans this Saturday. The game will be played in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Spartie is 3-1 in 2014 with the lone loss to #3 Oregon. #10 Michigan State has a balanced attack averaging 50 points per game. This will be the 5-0 Husker's biggest test so far this season. Nebraska will their best effort on offense and defense to win this road game. Nebraska has an opportunity to control this game with their great ground attack, featuring Ameer Abdullah, who has had 3 200+ yard games so far this season. Let's hope Spartie will "FEAR AMEER", as the Husker band spelled out last weekend.
We will have our usual halftime raffle, the "Board", Husker merchandise available for your purchase, and great fun cheering on the Huskers with the rest of the Husker Nation.

It may not be too late to join a group out of the Dallas area chapter, the North Texas Nebraskans, who are planning a trip to Chicago for the October 18th Northwestern game in Evanston. If you are interested, please contact Peter Marhoefer at peter.marhoefer@hilton.com.
We are still looking for help at our Watch parties. We need fans willing to coordinate our activities at the South Park locations. It only takes a bit of effort during the Watch Party. This includes Sign In, Raffle, Board Sign Up, and maybe Half Time announcements when required. We take care of everything else (sending newsletters, maintaining email list, obtaining Husker merchandise, etc.). Your help would really be appreciated and you will have the thanks of your fellow fans. Up North we can use help to fill in for core members who may be traveling on some weekends.
Next week, October 11, is a bye week for the Huskers. The following week, October 18, the game at Northwestern has a kickoff time at 6:30 pm.

This really helps us continue to host the watch parties and provide assistance to local students attending the University of Nebraska through our scholarship program.
