It is back to Football and please note our new Watch Sites. Cool River has closed, so we will be gathering at the above listed Third Base locations. These locations are somewhat smaller than Cool River, but have excellent TV coverage, easy access, and a great food and drink menu. We will miss our Cool River site and wish to thank them for their support over the years.
We will be going head to head versus the Longhorn Network this first game, therefore it is important that you arrive early for best seating. Third base Northwest is setting up a 12 foot projector in the patio area with the parking lot on that side blocked off to accommodate the expected large Longhorn turnout. This will relieve some of the pressure on our group for space. It will be a busy evening with both games starting at 7 pm. The Management at Third Base is suggesting you arrive between 5 and 6 pm. An area will be reserved for our group, but we cannot predict our group's attendance. This will likely be one of our more challenging games in terms of available space, so come early. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work out the details at these new locations. This first game will be busy, but expect better conditions in the games to follow.
The South location is new for us. We will work to provide the same experience at this location, but it may take a couple of games to get this organized. We are looking for volunteers for this location, to help make this a great Watch Site. The efforts of our volunteers and your attendance is what makes these Watch Parties a success.
The Big 10 Group is having a Big 10 Happy Hour this Thursday 8/29 from 5-10pm?? @ Lavaca Street Bar (405 Lavaca St. 78701). The happy hour will include 6 pm game watches for Indiana (vs. Indiana St.) & Minnesota (vs. UNLV). The links for the facebook event and group are below. This is an opportunity to get together with the other Big 10 local groups.

Come out and see the Huskers open the 2013 season. Nebraska opens the season with 5 straight home games in the newly expanded stadium. It should be another great year.
