Watch Party for Game 2 #GBR#HUSKERS

Hi Husker Fans, "Waiting is the the hardest part." No doubt the atmosphere was great last night. Every Husker fan is looking forward to the new era under Coach Frost. Who will think the storm will steal the thunder of the season opening game.  The Akron game is officially postponed and has no sight for rescheduling. Huskers will open the season next week against an old foe, Colorado. I personally think that is actually more interesting. Who does not want the first win for season to be running over the Buffaloes.  We will gather at Sam's Boat and Waller Creek Pub for the game. Kickoff is at 2:30 PM. I will be at Waller Creek Pub for this game with some merchandise for sale to raise money for our student scholarship.  Last night we had a great turnout at Sam's Boat. We had raffles and board game. The board game buyin will be extended to the Colorado game.  Glad to see so many fans there. I took some pictures for the local chapter facebook page. Game one watch party #GBR#COTN#HUSKERS

Hi Huskers,

7 days to kick off the new season. With Scott's return and all positive things happening in the program, we are going to have a great season. I am looking forward to see the team improve on record this year. The entire team's mentality and physicality have changed since new staffs arrived. We are back to do things the Nebraska way. Game starts at 7:00PM Sep 1st.  Show up, wear red and throw the bones!!! 

This year, we will stay at Sam's boat for watch party at north Austin and Waller Creek Pub for central and south. Sam's boat has agreed that make our watch party the priority. I am trying to get some speakers to set up for better sound. I talked to the owner at Waller Creek Pub. She is very happy about we staying and asking any feedback. Please let me know if you have any. My personal goal is to make to Waller Creek couple of times this year to meet everyone there. I am planning to be there at Colorado's game first. 

We also have a special visit at the North Location. Octivous McFarlin who is the 1994 class member from Bastrop TX will be at Sam's Boat for Game One. See his stories below. 

We will have raffles, merchandise and games at north location to raise money for scholarship. 

Please pay your due for the year. 20 dollars for non-Alumni and 15 dollars for Alumni .

Happy Hour at Sam's Boat # GBR #HUSKERS#COTN

Hi Fans,

Are you excited for the season? I have not been as excited as this for a long time. Good thing is we are only 2 weeks from kick off. This year we will stay at Sam's Boat and Waller Creek Pub with potential a third location. I do want to welcome everyone to watch party. We open the season with a night game at 7:00 pm against Akron. We should be able to handle this game easily. 

On 23rd of August, I want to invite every to join me at our north Austin watch location Sam's Boat for a preseason happy hour starts at 6:00PM. Come and talk with fellow fans about the team and the season.

As previously mentioned, I am setting up our May happy hour on 19th of May 11:30 to 2:00PM at Waller Creek Pub House. Waller Creek Pub has been supporting us and hosting watch party at central south Austin for a while. 

The happy hour is very casual and please stop by and greet each other if you can.

Pre season picnic and Summary meet up #Huskers #GBR #COTNgbr

Hi fellow Huskers Fans, It was great to see many people showed up at last week's watch party. It was a great game and environment at Memorial stadium as well. We sure set the NCAA Spring game record this year.  Several things I want to discuss with you all in this email: First, preseason picnic is coming back, if we have enough interest. Please let me know, if you are interested by emailing back to me. This is crucial important. If you are interested, send email back. Otherwise, it is going to be hard to gauge the interest. We used to do a picnic every April but it has dropped off last couple of years. This year we are bringing back the picnic, but the time will be one of the weekend of 18th and 25th of August. Both date are Saturdays. This way we avoid rain out possibility during the party in April. Typically, we have people sign up for fixings and sides. The committee will bring hot dogs and burgers. We will also ask for volunteers to help transport food and equipment from committee members house to the park. This is a great event to relax and catch up with fellow fans. Please do email back about your interest first. We will collect the due 20 dollars for non-alumni association members and 15 for alumni association members. Second, I will try put up a happy hour every month. Goal is to keep us together to do something during off season. I want to listen to you and see if there is anything I can do to help building a better experience for football season. I do encourage you to help sign up some volunteer work at watch party. It does not need commitment every week. If we have enough people sign up, we can rotate as needed. So come and tell us what you can help with the chapter. If you want to be on the committee, you are welcome to join and work. We can use some help. Last, I need you help to broadcast our chapter and encourage your fellow fans to come. So bring a buddy to events.  Go Big Red.

Spring game watch party #GBR #COTN

Husker fans,

You are invited to join our fans at Sam's Boat for spring game watch party. The game is on BTN 11AM April 21st. This is the first time that I remember we have spring game on BTN other than PPV. 

The players went through winter conditioning and gained a lot of muscle. Power N is back and we will not be getting pushed around on the field. Frost had a meeting about tackling this week which intend to teach the players proper technique. Many things to watch this Spring. QB battle, who is the No.1 RB, how much improvement OL made, new 3-4 system under different coordinator. They will be all answered on the 21st.

Huskers Football Update #GNR#HUSKERS#COTN

Dear Huskers Fans, After 2 months of hard work, our coaching staff put up a great recruiting class. The 2018 class ranks no.4 in Big Ten, No. 1 in the West and 22nd nationally. I watched Head Coach Frost's press conference today. What really click with me is that he wants to give all in state kids a chance to play for the Huskers. He also mentioned that the coaches are recruiting for toughness, characters as well as talent for the team. Thanks for all the hard work his staff have done for the University. It is all paid off.  Spring game might be on BTN this year.
