MyPlates promotion
To: Husker Fans
Beginning May 6th @ 7am, My Plates will be giving away 1,000 FREE sets of official specialty license plates to the first 1,000 people who register their details on our promotional page, www.myplates.com/go/1000plates. This exclusive offer will only be promoted via our plate partners and we would like to get the University of Nebraska involved.
Customers who visit www.myplates.com/go/1000plates on May 6th will simply enter their name and email address, and then they will receive a redemption code via email valued at $55— good for a set of one year, background-only plates. They can also contribute the $55 code towards the purchase of a personalized plate or a longer 5 or 10-year term. But they need to act fast— once the 1,000 plates are gone, they are gone for good. We are only releasing 1000 redemption codes.
This is the perfect opportunity for Huskers fans to finally get that plate they may have been considering— and it's a great way for Nebraska to increase your footprint in our program with more Huskers plates on the road.
The 1000 free sets of plates are shared among all groups connected with MyPlates. You must be prepared to enter the giveaway on Monday, May 6th @ 7am!!! Also remember, it's first come first service when registering for the special "code" number.
The Husker plate is currently under redesign as DPS requested a change to the lettering. Content is the same. As a result, the new plate design is not yet on the MyPlates website. You can still enter the promotion on May 6 and the new design will likely be available by that date.

HUSKERS VS TEXAS BASEBALL
Nebraska is playing Baseball vs the University of Texas in Austin at Disch-Falk Field, 1300 E. MLK Blvd., Austin TX 78702, on February 22, 23, 24, 2013.

Sunday, February 24 at 12 noon
Your support at any or all games during this series is appreciated. We have picked the series wrap-up on Sunday as a game for the Capitol of Texas Nebraskans to gather in support of the Huskers. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at game time. We will plan on sitting together on the first base side in a general admission area.

This is the same location we used for the Big 10 Championship game.
It has been a while since we were able to cheer for the Huskers. We know that you have all been very busy with the holidays and just wanted to remind you of the Bowl game watch party. After this game, it will be a lot longer without Nebraska Football, so come out and join us to wrap up your holiday season with the Huskers.
Your attendance at the Watch parties, participation in the Board, raffles, merchandise purchase, and payment of your annual dues all help our group support the University with a Scholarship donation each year. It is also your first chance to catch the Big Red Football team in 2013. Start your New Year off great and come out and join us for this January 1 Bowl Game.

Capitol One Bowl Ticket Information
Thanks to everyone for coming out for the Big 10 Championship Game. Too bad it didn't have a better outcome. Thanks also for the support all season.
Nebraska is playing Georgia in the Capitol One Bowl in Orlando, Florida on January 1. The following information is from the Nebraska Alumni Association.

In support of the Big Red, please purchase your bowl game tickets through the Nebraska Athletic Department vs. Stub Hub or Ticket master. The Athletic Department has a good allotment, so there are plenty to go around.
· You may do so by calling 1-800-8BIGRED or visiting www.huskers.com
· Your chapter may purchase a block of tickets through Athletics. If you are interested in doing so, please email me and I will walk you through the process.
· The NAA is offering trips to Orlando:
o We have full charter air leaving from Lincoln.
o We have land-only options (includes team hotel, game ticket, transfer to the game and pre-game Husker Huddle)
o Or new this year, we have a GAME DAY option, which includes transfer to the game, game ticket and pre-game Husker Huddle. This is a very good option for those who drive in day of or live in the area.
o All of the NAA trip options can be purchased by going here: https://huskeralum.org/postseason
· The NAA will be hosting a Husker Huddle in partnership with Husker Athletic Fund before our bowl game. You may purchase tickets to the Huddle online beginning Wednesday.
