The 9-3 Huskers face 8-4 Tennessee Volunteers in what appears like a home game for their opponent playing in Nashville in this Music City Bowl game. On top of this, it will be a patchwork team with Tommy Armstrong and Jordan Westerkamp likely out due to injuries and Co-captain defender Nathan Gerry ineligible to play. The backups will get their chance to step up and contribute to the Huskers effort. Tennessee is a favorite going into the game. Nebraska is coming off the final season game loss to Iowa with something to prove and a chance to build momentum for next season. Recruiting visibility can also be improved with a great showing by the Huskers in this bowl game.

Come on out this Friday for one more holiday party watching the Huskers at one of our two watch sites, either Thirdbase Northwest or the Waller Creek Pub. With a nice crowd at Thirdbase, we will have a raffle, run the board, and have Husker merchandise for sale. It will be a long break until the next Nebraska game, so take advantage of this opportunity to cheer on the Huskers one more time in this rapidly expiring 2016.

Husker Final Four Husker Volleyball Followup #Huskers #GBR #COTNgbr

In reference to my email earlier today, conflicting listings have shown that the semi-final volleyball matches are being aired on ESPN. Please check your local cable supplier listings for the exact channel assignment for the final four on both Thursday and Saturday.

Final Four Husker Volleyball  #Huskers #GBR #COTNgbr

The #1 Husker Women's Volleyball team has a big match up Thursday evening when they face #4 Texas in the NCAA final four.  Nebraska has won the last 2 meetings, so Texas will be out to end that streak. Game time is scheduled for 8:30 PM, but the time could vary depending on the length of the other semi-final match between #2 Minnesota and #6 Stanford. The winner of the Nebraska - Texas match will face the winner of the Stanford - Minnesota match on Saturday for the National Championship. The Huskers won the Championship last year and are looking to make it 2 in a row.

The weekend schedule is

Thursday, December 15, semi-finals

Stanford vs Minnesota  6:00 PM   ESPN2
Nebraska vs Texas       8:30 PM   ESPN2

Saturday, December 17,  National Championship Match

Winners from Thursday, face off at 8:00 PM  ESPN2

These matches are action packed and great to take in. The Husker team is one of the best ever, from a consistently great college program. The support in Nebraska has been great once again this year filling Devaney Center every match with around 8900 in attendance. The current regular season sellout streak is at 200.

I hope you all get a chance to enjoy this action.

Huskers in the Music City Bowl #Huskers #GBR #COTNgbr

Huskers in the Music City Bowl  #Huskers #GBR #COTNgbr

Hi Husker Fans,

As most of you likely already know, Nebraska is in the Music City Bowl played in Nashville on December 30. This is a Friday with a kickoff time of 2:30 pm.

That last defeat to Iowa certainly hurt our Bowl position as prior to that Nebraska was looking at a New Year's Day Bowl.

It would be nice to see the Huskers finish strong like last year, giving them something to build going into next season. Currently, Nebraska is a slight underdog to their Opponent from the SEC, 8-4 Tennessee. We will have Watch Parties for this game at both locations. More details will follow as we get closer to game day.

Thank you all for coming out this season. The interaction with other fellow Huskers has been great.

I would also like to thank the Core Committee members who have helped out each and every week. You all make this possible.
