Location         PLEASE NOTE: Alternate Location. Due to Holiday party bookings and late notice of our participation in the Big 10 Championship Game, Cool River cannot accommodate our group this Saturday. They assisted in arranging an alternate location, Sam's Boat at the Northwest Corner of Braker and Mopac(Loop 1), just behind the Shell Station and Burger King on the corner.

The Legends Champion Huskers have one more big step on their path to the Rose Bowl in a rematch with Leaders Champion Wisconsin for the Big 10 Championship. The previous meeting, won by the Huskers in a comeback, matches up two improved teams from that previous meeting. This should be a very exciting game and relief from last week's windy conditions as this game is in a dome. Look to see more of Rex Burkhead after his return to action last week. The Nebraska attack can certainly use his contribution.

The Huskers can wrap up a trip to Indy for the Big 10 Championship game this Friday with a win over Iowa. A win guarantees their appearance in next week's game. Last week's strong win over Minnesota was a good warm up for Black Friday's game. Take a break from your shopping and join us at Cool River for a fun Big Red Friday watching Nebraska with your fellow Huskers from the Big Red Nation. The "Control Their Own Destiny" saga continues this week versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Let's see if the Huskers can continue to work on reducing the number of turnovers and errors. Last weekend they discovered they had a great short yardage game using the freshman running back Imani Cross. This is another step to Indy for the Big 10 Championship Game that leads to a Rose Bowl appearance.

We will once again raffle off a $55 gift certificate for "MyPlates.com" for use though this website for a Texas Husker - license plate. We will have additional raffles at each of the remaining regular season games. Come out and take a chance on this great prize. Purchasing Husker plates also provides our group financial support.

NEBRASKA VS PENN STATE WATCH PARTY

As the Huskers return home this week to maintain the "Control Their Own Destiny Thing", they are playing Penn State, probably the toughest test left on the regular schedule. The Nittany Lions at 6-3 (4-1 Big Ten) are playing good ball. After a tough come from behind win over Michigan State last weekend, the Huskers are still working at reducing the errors. These tight, fourth quarter, double digit come from behind wins are getting hard on everybody. The results are great, but it would be nice to have a little more margin as we enter the final quarter. It is great however, at Cool River, when we get to celebrate that last minute(second) win.

Now that the Huskers have the lead in the Big 10 Legends Division, they need to hold on to it at Michigan State this Saturday afternoon. They control their own destiny for a trip to Indianapolis for the Big 10 Championship Game. They showed great signs of getting it together on both sides of the line against Michigan. Come out and see the trend continue with the rest of the Husker Faithful at Cool River this Saturday.
