After making last weekend's game more exciting than it needed to be, The Huskers travel to Champaign, Illinois this weekend to take on the Fighting Illini. Illinois, 3-1 this season, is coming off a close (27-25) win over Middle Tennessee last week. This is Nebraska's first Big 10 game of the year. The schedule gets more difficult starting with this game. Nebraska is currently a 7 point pick to win. Fullback Andy Janovich had a breakout performance last weekend, giving a lift to the Husker offense.. The defensive numbers need to improve this week after giving up 447 yards of passing to Southern Mississippi. Saturday's weather looks breezy(20 mph) with a 20% chance of rain and a high of 60 degrees.
Join other local Husker fans in cheering on Nebraska. We likely will have a raffle and the board with a chance of winning cash. The Third Base Staff will be there to serve up your favorite food and drinks with their great service.
